Azerbaijan and the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) have discussed the renewable energy projects in the country and the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor project, “Caspian Energy Media” reports, referring to Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry.

The discussions took place during a meeting between Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and BSEC Secretary General Lazăr Comănescu. The project aims to strengthen the energy partnership within the organization.

The meeting also covered energy-related issues on the cooperation agenda during Azerbaijan's chairmanship of BSEC, along with the country's role in energy security and the global energy transition.

Comănescu highlighted Azerbaijan's active and constructive cooperation with BSEC and expressed confidence that Azerbaijan, as chair of the organization and coordinator of the Energy Working Group, would contribute to the development of multifaceted relations in the Black Sea region.

Görüşdə Azərbaycanın təşkilata sədrliyi dövründə əməkdaşlıq gündəliyində enerji sahəsinə dair məsələlər, həmçinin ölkəmizin enerji təhlükəsizliyindəki rolu və qlobal enerji keçidi ilə bağlı müzakirələr aparılıb.

Baş katib Azərbaycanın təşkilatla əməkdaşlığının fəal və konstruktiv olduğunu qeyd edib və ölkəmizin təşkilatın sədri, Enerji İşçi Qrupunun koordinatoru kimi Qara dəniz regionunda çoxşaxəli əlaqələrin inkişafına da töhfə verəcəyinə inamını ifadə edib.

Görüşdə Azərbaycanda həyata keçirilən bərpa olunan enerji layihələri, eləcə də “Xəzər-Qara dəniz-Avropa Yaşıl Enerji Dəhlizi” layihəsindən danışılıb. Layihənin Qara Dəniz İqtisadi Əməkdaşlıq Təşkilatı çərçivəsində enerji tərəfdaşlığının gücləndirilməsinə xidmət edəcəyi bildirilib.

Söhbət zamanı qarşıdakı aylarda Enerji İşçi Qrupunun iclasının keçirilməsi və enerji sahəsində perspektiv imkanlar da nəzərdən keçirilib. Bu barədə “Caspian Energy Media” Energetika Nazirliyinə istinadən xəbər verir.

On January 24 of this year, Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held discussions with Abbas Ibrahimov, the Chairman of the Board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA). They focused on potential collaboration in the banking, investment, and financial sectors.

New and intriguing avenues for collaboration were presented to the Azerbaijani side, particularly regarding the privatization program, initiatives for the provision of new types of banking services, and significant projects for joint financing.

Abbas Ibrahimov commended the efforts made in recent years to enhance the investment climate and digitalize the banking system in the country. He also expressed his willingness to engage in investment projects in collaboration with local banks and fintech companies in Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to developing their relationship and established a framework for collaboration to ensure the successful implementation of the agreed-upon initiatives.

24 января этого года министр инвестиций, промышленности и торговли Республики Узбекистан Лазиз Кудратов провёл переговоры с председателем правления Международного банка Азербайджана (МБА) Аббасом Ибрагимовым, посвященные обсуждению совместных перспектив в банковской и инвестиционной сферах и финансовом секторе.

Азербайджанской стороне были представлены новые интересные направления совместной работы, в частности, программа приватизации, проекты по оказанию новых видов банковских услуг, а также крупные проекты для совместного финансирования.

Аббас Ибрагимов высоко оценил работу, осуществлённую в последние годы в стране по улучшению инвестиционного климата и цифровизации банковской системы. В то же время он выразил готовность принять участие в инвестиционных проектах в партнерстве с местными банками и финтех-компаниями в Узбекистане.

По итогам встречи сторонами была подтверждена взаимная приверженность развитию отношений и выработан формат взаимодействия для успешной имплементации согласованных инициатив.

During the meeting, they discussed practical steps to develop and implement a comprehensive program focused on safety and hygiene in food production and service processes.

The program encompasses the establishment of a national quality control system for food products, the training of food industry workers in contemporary safety standards, the implementation of training programs to enhance the quality of medical, tourism, and transport services, the modernization of infrastructure, the improvement of professional training, and various other sectors.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties affirmed their commitment to intensifying collaborative efforts. They designated responsible managers and outlined specific steps to expedite the project's implementation.

20 января этого года министр инвестиций, промышленности и торговли Республики Узбекистан Лазиз Кудратов провёл встречу с исполнительным директором саудовской компании AlArkan Мохаммедом аль-Фассамом.

В ходе встречи обсуждены практические шаги по разработке и реализации комплексной программы по безопасности и гигиене в процессах производства пищевых продуктов и оказании услуг.

Программа включает в себя разработку национальной системы контроля качества пищевой продукции, обучение работников пищевой промышленности современным стандартам безопасности, внедрение программ обучения для повышения уровня медицинских, туристических, транспортных услуг, модернизацию инфраструктуры, улучшение профессионального обучения и ряд других направлений.

В завершении встречи сторонами подтверждена готовность к активизации совместных усилий, обозначены ответственные руководители и конкретные шаги по ускоренному претворению проекта в жизнь.

On January 20, Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held discussions with Dr. Akihiko Tanaka, the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

During the meeting, JICA's significant contribution to the dynamic development of the Uzbek-Japanese strategic partnership, as well as the Agency's steadfast commitment to the implementation of new projects in Uzbekistan, was highly appreciated.

With the support of JICA, projects amounting to $3.7 billion have been implemented in Uzbekistan across key sectors of the economy, including energy, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and healthcare.

As a result of the meeting the ceremony of signing of “Exchange Notes” with the Government of Japan, credit agreement for the amount of 150 million dollars on the project of construction and equipment of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Neurology and Stroke, Minutes of Cooperation between JICA and the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, providing for the implementation of projects in the fields of animal husbandry, energy, education and other areas took place.

20 января министр инвестиций, промышленности и торовли Республики Узбекистан Лазиз Кудратов провёл переговоры с Президентом Японского агентства международного сотрудничества JICA доктором Акихико Танака.

В ходе встречи высоко оценены вклад JICA в динамичное развитие узбекско-японского стратегического партнерства и неизменная приверженность Агентства реализации новых проектов в Узбекистане.

При поддержке JICA в Узбекистане осуществлены проекты на общую сумму 3,7 млрд долларов в таких ключевых секторах экономики как энергетика, образование, сельское хозяйство, инфраструктура и здравоохранение.

По итогам встречи состоялась церемония подписания «Обменных нот» с правительством Японии, кредитного соглашения на сумму на сумму 150 млн долларов по проекту строительства и оснащения Республиканского специализированного научно-практического медицинского центра неврологии и инсульта, Протокола сотрудничества между JICA и Министерством инвестиций, промышленности и торговли, предусматривающего реализацию проектов в сферах животноводства, энергетики, образования и других направлениях.
