Operations on getting survivors from the rubble and eliminating the consequences of a devastating earthquake, which happened yesterday afternoon with a magnitude of 6.6 centered in Seferihisar city of Izmir province (Turkey), are ongoing. Meanwhile Turkey continues to receive messages of support from around the world.
The first reaction about support with "readiness to send any help to Turkey" came from the heads of Azerbaijan, Greece and France.
Azerbaijan's Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov called Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and said that "the Ministry is ready to send any support and aid".
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias called Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and wished a "speedy recovery" to the victims of the earthquake in Izmir.
In a statement, the French Interior Minister said: “We support the citizens of Turkey and Greece who suffered from the earthquake. If necessary, we are ready to send aid”, he said.
At the meeting of the Health Scientific Group of the Turkic Council, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the President of Qatar had called him and said that if necessary, in response to any request, "we will support you by all means”, “I thanked them for support”, said the Turkish leader.
Charles Michel, President of the Council of the European Union (EU), said that "they are monitoring course of events in the Aegean sea after the earthquake and are ready to help."

In a message posted on social media, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expressed " regret for the consequences of the devastating earthquake in the Aegean region.NATO allies are ready to help Greece and Turkey”, he said.
Kosovo's President Hashim Thaci said in a statement on social media after the earthquake in Turkey: "Kosovo stands by the people of Turkey and the government in this difficult period," he said.
The Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ statement expressed solidarity with the fraternal people of Turkey.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky conveyed his wishes for recovery to the victims of the destructive earthquake in Izmir.
