24 April 2020, Baku- Azerbaijan's national air carrier joined the blood donation campaign initiated by the First Vice President of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva. 

At this stage, more than 300 Azerbaijani aviators took part in the blood donation campaign.

Blood donation was carried out according to a special schedule, observing the requirements of the quarantine regime.

It should be noted that the campaign on voluntary blood donation was launched by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in order to help people suffering from hereditary blood diseases, especially thalassemia.
