A conference dedicated to the results of the first year implementation of the “State program on social-economic development of the Azerbaijan Republic regions for the period of 2019-2023” is being held in Baku today (February 3), Caspian Energy News reports.

President Ilham Aliyev is taking part in the conference.

An order on approval of the State program on social-economic development of the Azerbaijan Republic regions for the period of 2019-2023 was signed by President Ilham Aliyev on 29 January 2019.

It is noteworthy that 24.2 billion AZN was invested into different projects while implementing the previous State program on social-economic development of the regions for the period of 2014-2018. As the result, an 8% growth was reached in the non-oil sector of the republic. Over 16,000 entrepreneurs were granted concessional credits worth over 1 billion AZN. 79% of the mentioned subsidies were allocated in the agrarian sector, while 21% accounted for the industrial sector.
