Nothing threatens to pipelines

The fire in Borjomi gorge (Samhzhe-Javaheti) has been practically stifled and causes no danger for operating pipelines (Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Supsa, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum) crossing this region of Georgia,  Caspian Energy News ( reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Georgia.

As a reminder, there has been a fire in Borjomi-Haragaulsk forest of Georgia since August 20, where 400 firemen, 100 foresters and 500 employees of the department for special mission of MIA are fighting the fire. 

The rescue team, which will take part in extinguishing fire at Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, consists of 10 fire engines and 79 firemen of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (equipped with individual firefighting equipment), 4 units of equipment and 10 military men from of the Civil Defense Forces: “Also for the purpose of more rapid rescue and firefighting operations on the area with a difficult terrain 26 rescuers from the Special Risk Rescue Service were sent to perform the landing operation on 2 helicopters belonging to the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.
