IPP index declines in eurozone

Index of industrial production in the eurozone (EA19) has fallen by 0.9%, and by 0.8% in EU28, Caspian Energy News ( reports with reference to Eurostat.
Industrial production in the eurozone fell against the background of decline of production of energy resources and consumer goods.
Industrial production in Germany, the largest economy of the eurozone, declined by 1.7% in April compared to the previous month and increased by 2% on an annual basis.
Monthly decline of industrial production by 0.6% and annual growth by 2.1% was observed in France.
According to the data of Eurostat, the highest decline of production among the member companies is observed in Latvia (-7.9%), Netherlands (-4.4%) and Greece (3.3%).
